# Manufacturing programme consulting

[Website page](https://www.gt-intelligence.com/services/manufacturing-programme-consulting)

GTMI takes responsibility for product definition, technical direction, vendor coordination and deployment governance through a consulting assignment or an embedded programme role.

For sponsors and product owners commissioning programme definition, recovery or delivery leadership alongside their internal team and partners.

## Programme definition and delivery responsibility

GTMI assesses programmes, defines releases and takes delivery responsibility alongside programme leads and vendors. We review conflicting requirements and unresolved dependencies, then prepare a backlog for the sponsor to decide on. An embedded role carries those decisions through design reviews, evidence preparation and site readiness. The assessment identifies a viable next release and its unresolved dependencies, so the sponsor can decide what to include, what to defer and which decisions need escalation. The sponsor agrees the responsibility and decision authority at the outset.

## Define the product and the delivery model

Work can include requirements boundaries, architecture decisions, validation strategy, release scope, and allocation of responsibilities across internal teams and vendors. GTMI helps establish how changes are proposed, reviewed, and accepted. For a multi-site programme, that includes deciding which parts belong to the shared product and which local differences require a site decision. We include site entry criteria and support responsibilities in the delivery plan.

## Carry decisions into the work

An embedded role can continue through backlog review, technical design discussions, vendor coordination, evidence review, and deployment preparation. GTMI works with the actual requirements, architecture, test results, and release dependencies. Decision records and agreed actions support the client’s governance meetings. GTMI follows the work through to the agreed deliverable and records who is responsible for each unresolved dependency.

## Client authority and vendor responsibilities

The sponsor retains budget and investment decisions. Product, quality, IT, and site owners retain approval authority within their functions. GTMI takes responsibility for the agreed consulting work and any delegated delivery role. Vendor obligations remain with the contracted parties. The engagement makes these boundaries explicit, including who can accept a deliverable, approve a scope change, and authorise a site release.

## Define the role before adding it to the programme

Describe the next milestone and the decisions or delivery work that need attention. We can assess the programme or take responsibility for a defined workstream alongside your existing leads and vendors. A first conversation does not require a prepared brief.
